Mark T. Alfieri
Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Operating Officer and Director
Mark Alfieri has contributed to the growth and accomplishment of the REIT since its inception in 2006, serving as president and chief operating officer prior to the transition to self-management in July 2014. Drawing from 25 years of industry experience, Mr. Alfieri navigates the REIT through strategic adaptation to changing real estate market opportunities and has been instrumental in creating the REIT's institutional co-investment platform, investment strategies and the operational platform. Mr. Alfieri graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
Daniel Swanstrom, II
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Dan Swanstrom oversees the financial, accounting, capital markets and investor relations operations of the REIT. Prior to joining the REIT, Mr. Swanstrom worked at Morgan Stanley, most recently as Executive Director in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group. During his nine-year tenure at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Swanstrom managed the execution of public and private capital raises and mergers and acquisitions in excess of $25 billion. Mr. Swanstrom received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Boston College and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Executive Vice President, Property Management
Peggy Daly was instrumental in establishing the operational platform for the REIT, and serves as president and chief operating officer of the REIT's subsidiary property management company, Monogram Apartment Collection, LLC. Ms. Daly handles the strategic and day to day oversight of the property management for the REIT's portfolio. Ms. Daly serves on the Board of Directors of the National Apartment Association, the Board of the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the National Multi-Housing Council. Ms. Daly attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
Daniel J. Rosenberg
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Daniel Rosenberg is responsible for all legal matters related to the REIT. Mr. Rosenberg is a licensed attorney in both Texas and New York, where he previously held a position at national law firm, Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman, LLP. Mr. Rosenberg received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta.
Howard S. Garfield
Senior Vice President - Planning, Chief Accounting Officer, Treasurer and Assistant Secretary
Howard Garfield is responsible for the treasury, accounting, tax and fund administration for the REIT with over 30 years of real estate experience in public and private real estate companies, investment banking and accounting firms. Mr. Garfield is a certified public accountant, as well as being a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and National Association of Real Estate Companies. Mr. Garfield graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
Ross P. Odland, CFA
Senior Vice President - Portfolio Management
Ross Odland is responsible for developing investment strategies for the REIT including sourcing, developing and managing the REIT’s joint-venture partnerships and relationships. Mr. Odland graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Mr. Odland is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Society of Dallas/Ft. Worth as well as a member of the Pension Real Estate Association and NAREIT.
James J. McGinley III
Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer
James (Jim) McGinley oversees and manages new multifamily development projects and capital market activities, as well as the sourcing of new equity partner relationships for the REIT. Mr. McGinley has over 25 years of lending, financing, development and real estate investment experience. Mr. McGinley graduated with a Masters of Business Administration in finance from the University of Notre Dame Graduate School of Business, and received his Bachelors of Business Administration in both finance and real estate from Southern Methodist University.
Senior Vice President, Acquisitions
Robert Hodge is responsible for sourcing and closing investments for the REIT. Mr. Hodge works closely with asset management and property management in the dissemination of market trends and evaluation of both buy side and sell side investment opportunities. Mr. Hodge received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Williams College and a Masters of Business Administration from St. Edwards University.
Senior Vice President, Information Technology
Keven Sticher oversees the strategic direction and operations of technology and information security for the REIT. Mr. Sticher has over 20 years technology and security experience. Mr. Sticher attended Capella University for Information Risk and Assurance, and holds a CISSP certification.
Vice President, Marketing
Dustin Lovingood oversees the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives for the REIT and it’s property management subsidiary, Monogram Apartment Collection. Drawing from extensive marketing experience with multifamily organizations, Mr. Lovingood ensures that Monogram Apartment Collection employs the latest creative and technological marketing tools to connect with prospects and residents. Mr. Lovingood attended Kennesaw State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
Vice President, Human Resources
Cristy Chapman directs all aspects of human resource functions for the REIT. Ms. Chapman focuses on strategic employee relations and creating an environment that supports employee retention. Ms. Chapman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Arlington
Vice President, Training
Kristina Bernatis is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all training programs for the REIT’s subsidiary property management company, Monogram Apartment Collection, LLC. Mrs. Bernatis delivers best in class training programs for optimal performance. Mrs. Bernatis graduated from Angelo State University with a degree in mathematics.
